  • Why do you use drugs? You hear so many reports about their bad effects on the body, even causing untimely death. Well drugs do one thing well. They make you feel good. And feeling good is not a bad thing. The bad thing is that thee good feeling does not last. and if it is the only way you can feel good, you will want to get more when the feeling goes away. That is what is bad. You start using so often and eventually so much that it takes over your life. And what was once an ESCAPE BECOMES A LIFESTYLE.

So the real problem is that it is or it BECOMES YOUR ONLY WAY OF FEELING GOOD. Why?

It goes back to the strength of your sense of self, your personal identity. Coming soon to LIFEoholics we have a conversation for recovery.

  • Today is the beginning of new journeys for many people among us, me included . An introduction to my inner self has been a real eye opener for me and has left me wanting to know more. So much so that I have become a student of Core Intervention Therapy in the last few months. Understanding change has allowed me to get to grips with the reasons why I abused myself the way I did in the past and accept it for what it was. Learning how to grow past my inner child and become secure in my own personal reality is an amazing roller-coaster journey and, as I read somewhere, Nobody said that life would be easy just that it would be worth it!!

  • Learning about our inner strength allows us to grow into our new life. When we take on our addictions we didn't know where it may lead or what I would discover about myself. Simply starting the journey was the first baby step that we need to take. Declaring our intentions to the people in our lives holds us accountable for our words and mean that stepping out of line is no longer an option for us.

Listen to your inner self, learn what your body is telling you and share your new creations with your community. When you understand the changes in your life a new realm of opportunity opens up. Share your creations and inspire our community.

  • So I am a Dad again and beautiful baby Kaylee Anne Morris was born on Friday March 16th 2012. What an amazing inspiration and motivation she is for me to achieve even more than I already have.

Baby and Mommy are both doing great and I managed to do the whole thing sober!!!!! lol the thought never even entered my head lol. Inspiration for sobriety comes from the most unexpected places. Sharing those things that move me is motivation in itself.

  • Am I really a helpless addict? Is this just a bad habit or do I have such a strong mental, emotional, psychological compulsion that I cannot help myself? If it's just a bad habit, how can I break it? If I cannot help myself, where can I get help? Is there anyone out there who is like me and has got their life under control? What's stopping me from looking at the issue straight in the eye? I think it's called being honest with myself. No matter what I can help myself and/or get help. There is no excuse to carry on. If I do, it means I want to.

Now really why would I want to carry on with a bad habit or compulsion that is destroying me? This is a higher stage of the illness of being an addict.

Definitely I need to have the want to in order to quit and/or reach out for help.

I am supposed to be in control here; not the alcohol, the food, the gambling, any out of control bad habit (addiction).

Where to go for help, tools and support for your addiction is available on this site. Take charge. If nothing changes, nothing changes.
